Job Description: Business Development Manager – Kolkata

The ideal candidate will be a creative and results-oriented professional with a deep understanding of traditional marketing strategies and a passion for connecting with students and parents through face-to-face interactions. As the Business Development Manager, you will play a crucial role in promoting our study abroad programs, building strong B2B relationships, and managing career fairs and tie-ups with schools and universities. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic plans for physical marketing initiatives in Kolkata region, including events, workshops, seminars, and educational fairs to promote study abroad opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to design and produce marketing materials, brochures, banners, and other promotional items for offline campaigns.
  • Build and maintain relationships with local schools, colleges, educational institutions, and community organizations to generate student leads, referrals, and B2B partnerships.
  • Plan and coordinate participation in local education fairs, exhibitions, and networking events to showcase our study abroad programs and engage with potential students.
  • Lead presentations and informational sessions for students, parents, schools, and universities to provide insights into study abroad options, benefits, and processes.
  • Manage career fair events across the Kolkata, including coordination, logistics, and participant engagement.
  • Monitor and analyse the effectiveness of physical marketing activities, gather feedback, and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Oversee school and university tie-ups for collaborative marketing and student outreach efforts.
  • Manage the marketing budget for offline campaigns, events, and tie-ups, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and maximum ROI.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market insights to adapt marketing strategies accordingly.


  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience in a relevant field for a minimum of 4-5 years, event planning, and B2B marketing, preferably within the education sector.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and connect with diverse audiences.
  • Creative thinker with the ability to conceptualise and execute engaging offline marketing campaigns.
  • Detail-oriented and organised, capable of managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills to establish partnerships with educational institutions, community organisations, schools, and universities.
  • Ability to travel locally within the North East region to attend events, fairs, and meetings as required.
  • Should be fluent in English.
  • Must be tech-savvy.
